It’s Easter Morning,…He has Risen…In deed He HAS Risen!!
I’m reflecting, asking for meaning, and meditating on all that has taken place in this last week. In context to a title I received just the other day, “Mastering the Master Key”!
During this week I have taken Communion three times., I celebrated in three different places, each was so different and still you could recognize it for what it was.
The first, was the starting of Holy Week. Friends in an intimate setting, in a small building. We were seeking the Tabernacle of David, on the Sabbath Day. The braided bread was sweet, yeasty smelling, so moist but at the same time the crush chewy and buttery. As it was torn it met with little resistance, almost like a yielding of the flesh. The cup was served in small plastic Dixie cups, filled to the top. Warmed by the heat of the car, just enough that it brought out the sweetness of the fruit. As we were partaking it was said, “Eat as much as you like, and enjoy!”
The second was at 4:30 am on the phone, Good Friday, with a group of ladies doing a 21 days of Transformation. Facing our fears, over coming doubt and unbelief, that we would be able to walk upright into our Destinies. I had to find my own elements and in that I saw the relevance. It was up to me to seek out that which I longed for, no one could do it for me. As I gathered them together I gave thanks for my simple ability to go and do what it was on my heart to do. It was satisfying , in the dark with just voices on the phone, join together, it was powerful!
The last, was Saturday night, in a very large church full of people. The Easter Egg Hunt had just wrapped up. A baptism was taking place on the two big screens at the front. I wondered if it was real or just a part of the presentation, Glory be to God it was real!!! They said they were trying something new with communion. They pasted around the beautiful brass communion plates with 2 cups stacked together, juice in one and the bread in the other. As I separated the two cups I thought, “Where is the Bread?? I thought Jesus gave it all? There it was, my little micro-chip.” A quick silent reflection and it was over.
So, as l look back, I believe, the starting place to Mastering the Master Key is in the taking of Communion. I’ve committed myself to 50 days to Blaze, the Blaze being Pentecost. I think I will carry on the Communion until the day of Pentecost! I’m excited to see what God is ready to teach me! May be you’d like to join with me!
